Watt a de-light!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Sunday, 21st of January 2018
Today’s quick mission was to change six lightbulbs for Mrs I.
Mrs I needed us to remove the broken bulbs so that she could take them to the hardware store and buy replacements; she will invite some GoodGymers back to put the new bulbs in next week.
There were five spotlights in the kitchen. Steve did the hard work whilst I lined the lightbulbs up in an orderly fashion, took some photos and gave instructions/talked. Steve was a little over enthusiastic at one point and accidentally removed a fully functioning bulb - fortunately we noticed soon enough. I think he was just testing to see if I was paying attention!
The last stop was the bathroom to take down the final bulb. This took a little more work as we (Steve) had to unscrew the plastic casing in order to reach the lightbulb. With some fashionable pink tools, the whole job was complete within 15 minutes!
Mrs I needs some runners to return so that the new bulbs can be fitted and she can finally have some more light in her home.
