It was Super Sunny Saturday in Kingston and 5 bright runners met at New Malden Station to save the world's population of bees, one plant at a time. The newly opened path between New Malden and Raynes Park, needed some much needed colour and bee friendly flora to attract new fauna. So we joined the amazing Shed X group, who had marked out where each individual plant should go, depending on their durability or how much of a bully plant they were to other more timid plants.

No fighting in the beds now please!

As if the sunshine and the thrill of a good deed weren't enough, we were given extra motivation by lovely comments from passers by and a visit from a Member of the British Empire too in Robin Hutchinson, himself, one of the Community Brain directors. Digging was made all the bit more challenging with the odd bit of concrete underfoot, but where there was space there was soon a plant in the ground instead and we soon ran out of plants to plant! Thanks to ShedX and the Community Brain for organising the event and for the last day of sunshine for the next week!

If you fancy a stroll in the rain tomorrow don't forget its car free day in Kingston and Plogolution will be happening from Kingston Guildhall from 10am.
