This lunchtime, Andrew, Pauline and I met outside Mr B's place to help him with a one-off practical task, and probably my favourite mission yet.

Mr B needed a single bed moving from one room and swapping with a rather large, long and heavy sofa in the other as requested by an occupational therapist.

As is the norm, this was not quite a simple task and it probably took us about an hour to juggle the mental math of how we could pivot the sofa from one room to the other in such a tight, confined space. (See pictorial evidence above😅)

Not to be deterred and inspired by Mr B's encouragement and advice we chose not to give up and eventually got the sofa round, que much whooping from us 3 and a chuckle off Mr B.

Mr B's place was filled with cycling trophies and medals, and being an avid cyclist myself it really cheered me up to hear about his adventures. He told us how he competed in the world Championships in Belgium and also cycled to Normandy (in his 80's!) to pay respect to his fellow war veterans who were killed on D-Day frontline. A real inspiration.

A beautiful mission on a beautiful sunny day, just what the doctor ordered.
