Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
With burning lungs and lead for legs we powered on. Despite a last minute cancellation of our task we got to it in true GoodGym Fashion.
Spirits high we ran to Plaistow Park for a warm up circuit. It seemed to be one of those nights and not long after getting to Plaistow park a van pulled up beside us to let us know they would be closing the park. The initial plan was to got to Plaistow Park warm up and race to see who would create the largest mountain of leaves possible before doing some interval sessions.
However the Park closure did not dampen our spirits and despite the hick ups we made the most of the time we had.
We ran half way around the perimeter of Plaistow park as fast as possible before turning back and running back immediately. The group did this three times with a 3 minute break in between with a some stretches to stop us from ceasing up. I must say everybody did amazingly well. Efforts where high and times improved on the last rep across the board. 'Big Well Done to Everybody'.
Not long after beginning our jog back to the London Aquatics centre we ran into a man laying on the floor with somebody calling an ambulance for him. We assisted the man until a paramedic arrived but not before having some jokes and giggles as I flagged down a Morrisons van in the distance that resembled an ambulance way too much.
It did not take long for the paramedic to arrive.
We made our way back to base in high spirits to finish off with a HiiT circuit, keeping in theme with the anaerobic endurance.
