We followed the Litter of the Law!
5 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help the South West London Environment Network in Richmond.
- Sunday, 6th of January 2019
- Led by Kingston upon Thames runner
We all arrived very rosy cheeked this evening with the temperatures double what they were yesterday and therefore there were many complaints of too many layers!!
It kicked off as a bit of a detective mission this evening as both litter picking stations were shut for refurbishment. Thankfully we came across the Slug and Litters pub who kindly donated rubbish bags to lettuce get on with our mission.
We gradually picked our way along the towpath lighting the way with our head torches and reflective jackets. We even had cheers from passing walkers who said "I heard about your plogging on the radio!" needless to say he didn't hang around long enough to help out, but we still appreciated the morale boost!
Samia and Nicky demonstrated the latest plogging fashion in their matching jackets and added extra cardio star-jump routines along the route.
Laura championed the new arm torch fashion statement which helped to avoid blinding others whilst still keeping both hands free for picking! Very effective!
Kate increased her perfect picking productivity by 50% picking up an extra helping hand!
Andy provided his usual cheerful charm and helped to keep us all in check despite being outnumbered 4 to 1!
We ended as we mean to go on at Buccleuch (buhk-loo-ch ???) gardens where we will literally be picking up where we left off with Richmond Group Run tomorrow!
