13 ran to Broomfield hospital to help dig a sunken garden.
The sunken garden is proving a tough challenge to get through, with lots of digging to do in the tough and heavy clay-like soil. We are making progress and think the bricklayers should be able to make a start in some areas.
As before we split into several groups and worked away digging and removing roots from the area, with matlocks, forks and spades. we got loads of digging done and moved loads of soil. We also cleared lots of roots from the top of the garden area.
We then set off on the 4.4km run back to base. a big shout out to Newbie Diego who was awesome at both the running and removing roots!
A big thanks to the Hospital grounds team for this and other ongoing tasks!
Broomfield Hospital is the main Hospital in Chelmsford.
