It was a third trip back to Mrs A and Mr E’s garden today (a second trip for the dynamic duo of Beth & Lucy) to take on the brambles in their front garden again. On our second spike-tastic visit we knew what the task ahead of us entailed. This time, Mrs A had more tools at the ready for us, so both Lucy and I got to it.

Work was much more efficient this time; after another hour and a half of chopping and bagging up the brambles, and plenty more scratches to boot, we had managed to clear two thirds of the front garden. Whilst stacking up the bags Mrs A came to the door to check on our progress. Both herself and Mr E were impressed – not bad for two girls! One more trip and hopefully the bramble beast will be tamed!
