Laura, Matthew, Scarlett and Sheila helped out at Braywick Heath Nursery this morning. Our first task was to pick any dead leaves off the perennials overwintering from last year, top up with new compost and generally make them look nice. We disturbed many small creatures who had made the plants their home, including spiders and two beautiful snails, one of which was captured digitally by our champion photograper, Matthew. While Matthew and Scarlett continued this task, Laura and Sheila took the ones we had finished to the outside sales areas, andcput them together with existing stock. This freed up space indoors for all the new annuals. The nursery has lots of new stock, and is well-worth a visit.

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
