Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Elizabeth
This morning four GoodGymmers volunteered at Ally Pally parkrun.
John and Vicki were marshals for the day, located (apparently with 3 other marshals!) next to a large ice patch spanning the width of the course. I heard they did an ice job of it (I'm so sorry).
Becky and I were instead on barcode scanning. It was our first time on this task (I wanted to practice for a visit to Perry Hall parkrun next week with GoodGym Birmingham). Thankfully the volunteer app is pretty decent, and we could not fail! (Except when one of the tokens fails to scan, as per token number 91 for me 🙄) We stan a good app.
As there was a massive contingent of GoodGymmers running parkrun, from at least Barnet and Haringey), most of us went for breakfast afterwards. One group (those of us going to Haringey's starter session) went to breakfast near Turnpike Lane, and the other group made vague references to Muswell Hill, which I didn't follow through with.
Running or volunteering, I hope that everyone had a great time and a better breakfast! 😄
