We worked hard, ho-ho-ho-nestly!
4 GoodGymers made their way 2.0km to help the Saltford Community Association in Bath.
- Saturday, 1st of December 2018
- Led by Sam Ollason
We helped the organisers set up the course for the Saltford Santa Dash. This is a fun run that has been held every year since 2013. The fun run raises thousands of pounds for charities each year and we were delighted to be invited to help them prepare the location for the event.
We teamed up with other volunteers to lay out cones along the route, put up signs of sponsoring companies, move goal posts from the fields and put up fencing. This is all in preparation for the run the following day.
After the task were rewarded with a sandwich and a hot cup of tea in the clubhouse. We had lots of fun and enjoy being outdoors getting some exercise. We will be back tomorrow to marshal at the event!
