Weather De-Fence
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 16th of July 2022
A couple of goodgym runners were needed to paint Mrs P's garden fence to smarten it up and protect it against the weather. With a very hot and sunny weekend ahead and no fear of rain ruining their good work, David and Anne agreed to get the job done.
Mrs P was very organised with all the paint and brushes ready. She had even been out early herself clearing the area around the fence to make the job easier for her GoodGym volunteers.
Firm in the belief that good preparation is key to doing a good job, David and Anne requested sandpaper to remove the existing treatment and green moss before making a start with the paint. Friendly neighbours, blackbirds and robins all said hello as they worked, and the job was finished just before the sun crept into the area where they were working. Mrs P was delighted with their efforts and the runners agreed they had left her with the best looking fence on the street!
