Wild Eton Wick look after a number of flower beds in the shopping area, and help was needed to weed the beds to keep the encroaching grasses and Cleavers at bay. Sheila cycled there along the beautiful Jubilee River in the Spring sunshine, and joined Claire and 4 other volunteers in weeding the beds. We filled a large bag with weeds and a passerby also volunteered their green wheelie bin to accommodate the remainder. I also had the opportunity to look at the area we sowed with wild flower seeds last year - many are making an appearance. After some welcome choccie biscuits we made our way home, passing many participants in the Easter 50 Challenge along the Jubilee River, who were running and walking 50km around Windsor. The next GoodGym opportunity with Wild Eton Wick will be a bat survey - watch out for the listing!
