Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Beth Nelson
On a very wet Saturday morning in Hammersmith, 5 GoodGymers met Berni at Springvale Estate Residents Hall to lend a hand in their garden area with some weeding and a general tidy up.
The combination of Autumn well and truly set in and three large trees surrounding the garden meant that there was a large amount of leaves scattered on the garden patio. Armed with a garden brush, Jason set about quickly sweeping and clearing the patio area, while Bex and Alice tackled the weeds on the path and in the flower beds.
Amy and Beth made good use of the very handy angled weed brush tool to clear the weeds from in-between the lines of garden path and patio, with Alice efficiently tidying the remnants of weeds as we went along.
It wasn't long before we were very much damper than when we had begun, but we were successful in our mission to eradicate all the leaves and weeds from the garden area in super-quick time despite the pouring rain.
Mission completed, we headed inside to the warm dry hall for some much-appreciated tea and biscuits before saying our goodbyes and heading off in our separate directions home.
