On Sunday morning, David and Jess ran over to East Ham to clear Mrs S's garden. Mrs S's son is on a waiting list for a kidney transplant and spends a lot of time at home. The outdoor space is therefore very important to the family. We cleared branches and vegetation from the ground, pulled up weeds from between the paving slabs, cut down the ivy which had engulfed the shed and back wall, and swept the paved area. On a humid day, a light shower came as a nice relief as we worked away. After two hours, we had about fifteen bin bags and a clear garden to show for our efforts.
