Ross, Carol Anne and I had the privilege of being GoodGym Newcastle's first mission runners to help out an isolated older person.

Carol Anne wasted no time in attacking the overgrown hedge to reveal the patio doors leading into the beautiful garden so that it could be fully enjoyed in this unexpected beautiful British summer! She soon realised that she would have to enlist the help of Ross to reach the top branches, however, and that meant that I didn't get a look in using the hedge trimmer, instead taking up my default role of filling up the rubbish sacks! (I like to make sure everything stays looking neat and tidy, even when we're making a lot of mess!)

Ross taking over hedge trimming duties gave Carol Anne and I time to load up the rest of the sacks (11 of them in total!), weed the path and cut the grass! The heat of the sun didn't hold us back and we managed to finish our mission and more!

Our little good deed was very much appreciated and we hope that we can return to help out some more!
