The Terrible Two (without the tantrums)

John and Sue went to the Sidney Walters Center to clear the space

It wasn’t a competition, but they did go apace

Clutching their gardening gloves in the hands

As they were going to clear the lands (well, verges of the car park)

Upon meeting Lisa, they set forth on their task

Lisa suggested leaving the sweet - smelling fennel to bask

They set about pulling up grasses and weeds

They got well stuck into their good deeds

The buckets soon filled up with garden debris

And the hour had passed very quickly

The car park looked much neater

So, all were happy that the result was a world-beater!

All was well with the Terrible Two until …

There seemed to be a definite lack of will

Neither wanted to make the extra effort to run back

So, they agreed to walk home, risking that Julia will give them flack
