Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

On a very rainy Saturday we were greeted by Ms L who first insisted we have a nice cup of tea. We chatted with her and learnt all about her life in the area, what a lovely way to start the mission!

I can't say we were keen to get outside and start the garden clearing in that weather but we knew sweeping the leaves, cutting back the overgrowth and weeding the paths would make a difference and make the entrance to the garden a bit safer.

It was definitely a big task and we'd love to come back and visit again when the weather is a bit kinder to really get on top of it! We made a decent start, filling two large garden sacks of leaves and trimmings and hopefully making initial access a bit easier. We finished up by sweeping the front path to the house clear of leaves which can be a nasty slip hazard.

As the weather wasn't the best we neglected to take any photos during the mission, however a house in Ms.L's neighbourhood was a sight to behold and a lovely find that without signing up to GoodGym we may never have stumbled across! I thought the quote was fitting...
