SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Caireen McGinn
The first of our regular Monday night sessions at Wildcat Wilderness saw 8 volunteers meeting at the entrance gate in amazing sunshine - it had been raining on and off all day but was a beautiful evening by the time the mission started. The rain helped a 'little' bit with making the earth a bit softer to dig out those pesky bramble roots, but we all agreed it hadn't rained enough! The task over the next few weeks is to clear the orchard area of weeds and bramble in order to make way for an outdoor classroom. It won't be quick, but it'll be fun!
It was great to be back together on Monday evenings (traditionally our group run day), and to chat about our lockdown experiences (including the benefits of going without makeup, bras or trousers), and it's brilliant to know that 'weed' meet again regularly over the coming weeks. Thanks, as usual, to Oli for the magnificent pun.
