We had a fantastic hour with Will helping pull bracken on Mousehold Heath.

We all met at the car park, then Will led us to the area we were going to work on. He explained that removing the bracken encourages the heather to grow, which is super important for bees and butterflies among other wildlife.

We got to work and by the time it got to 6:20pm you could see just how much we'd done! The time went so fast - we all agreed it's a therapeutic task, and it certainly went by quickly thanks to catching up with GoodGymers we'd not seen in months. It was also Ian's birthday, so a big well done to him for doing a birthday good deed!

After piling up the bracken by the big Oak tree, Will became the very first Norwich GoodGym task owner run leader and led us back through the woods to the car park. We met some of the GoodGymers arriving for the 6:30 slot and said our goodbyes!
