It was an interesting night tonight as we had a last-minute change to our task. It wasn’t quite the evening we had planned but it was a lovely evening none the less.

It was great to welcome Karen back from Oz tonight (we missed you!). We’ve loved hearing all about your trip and all the lovely places you visited (especially the Parkruns obviously!!).

We had a good dose of exercise this evening as things didn’t go quite to plan with our task, lol!! Karen, Maurice & Nicola headed out and did a circular route that was about 2 miles and on arriving back at our task, we realised that the task owner hadn’t arrived, so we decided to head back out for a bit more exercise. We did a different circular route which was about a mile, taking us to a total of 3 miles! It was a pleasant evening weather wise, and it was lovely to chat as always, so the time spent walking went very quickly!

Back at the task, there was still no sign of our task owner, so we gave them a call and discovered what we suspected… they’d forgotten about us. Oops, lol! No problem though - we headed out for a last-minute litter pick instead! And well, there’s only so much you can write about another litter pick, but we did our thing and collected 3 (almost full) bags of rubbish. Karen gave us all quite the giggle when I asked if we could take a picture. And Karen, I can’t disagree, you’ve had far too many photographs stood in front of a bin!!!

The highlight of the evening was the 4 bags of crisps and the drinks at Hops. More Oz, parkrun and Traitors chat! It was the perfect end to the evening.

Well done to our Goodgym Stalwarts. You’re amazing. Ooh, and thanks to Maurice for tonight's pun!

Have a great week and see you soon.

Lots of love Nicola xxx
