We met Pam at the Colchester In Bloom allotment on a particularly wet August evening. The rain did pretty much stop as we started but it was of course already very wet underfoot on the allotment.

Pam asked us to clear up an area in the corner of the allotment under a slightly overgrown tree .She wanted the large boxes that had been used in the town for plants taken out from under the tree so we could lay so me sheeting down in the area .We also tided up the area as the tree was overgrown in places and the area needed weeding .

Once this was done we put the planters back to form a border around the area. Pam is planning to put some seating in the area.

As you can hopefully see from the photos we made a real difference to the area.

At the end of the evening we were rewarded with some courgettes, aubergines ,various types of beans and some lettuces to take away and enjoy ! Thanks Pam.

The wet evening didn't deter the four of us ,but very well done to everyone for turning out on a pretty miserable evening.

Extra Brownie for everyone

Thank you.
