What's Not to 'Dig' About Goodgym?!
8 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Crewe.

We were due to be painting at the Sherborne Community Garden this evening but due to days of persistent rain, our task owner felt it was best that we postponed until the weather improved (I didn't like to tell her that it never rains on a Goodgym night!! (one day I'll have to eat my words!!)).
So, we couldn't paint the wooden flower beds as we had planned but as it happens, Goodgym Member and local Town Councillor, Hazel Faddes had already spoken to us about tidying up some of the green space on the housing estate. So, with not a drop of rain in sight, we toddled off to the area that needed some Goodgym TLC and got stuck in.
Local resident Paul joined us, along with another lady who does lots of work with the homeless as well as being part of a local conservation group. It was great to see other people so willing to get involved.
We had a lovely evening raking, digging, sweeping and generally tidying up the space. Maurice and Rob did a litter pick and collected two bags of rubbish.
Although we didn't quite manage to clear all the area, we did managed to make a significant impact and the soil was mostly weed free by the time we finished.
And as always, it was a fab evening spent in lovely company and really nice to see local residents chatting with our lovely members.
A Good job done as always. Well done awesome team xxx

Good to be part of such a motivated group doing what they can to help our community. Thanks Nicola for organising another mission for the team.
