It was only a short shift at City Harvest this evening, as some filming was taking place, but there was still just over an hour's work done!

One of the tasks was to re-crate a pallet full of chicken wings which had come from Charlie Bigham (the maker of the fancy ready meals).

They use whole chickens for their meals, but not the wings, so had previously been throwing them away!!!! So City Harvest have stepped in and now rescue a pallet of them daily, to be redistributed to the community
