When is a spoon not a spoon? When it's a trowel!
5 GoodGymers made their way 2.0km to help the Friends of Victoria Park in Trafford.

Last night five trusty GoodGym-ers jogged, walked and ran to Victoria Park to tidy up and weed one of the lovely ornamental flower beds as (yet again) it was too wet to do the railings. Such is life in Manchester!
Before we set off we paid a visit to the flower bed from last week's task and were chuffed to see our efforts had paid off! No more pesky tree stumps in evidence - just a lovely planted up flower bed (photo attached).
We were careful not to dig up the existing flowers, concentrating on the small grasses and other weeds. We had a great chat including explaining the difference between a garden fork and a trowel to one of our newer members,Read who is visiting us from Saudi Arabia to improve his English as well as volunteering with us, of course ;-)
Thanks very much, you are brilliant!
See you next week for some work at Chassen Park in Urmston while the evening light is still with us.
Thanks, well done and see you soon, Kate x
