When push comes to shovel... we are a good bunch

It was sooo good to be back at the allotments with Seb our task owner. Last Spring we started helping Seb get a set of allotments ready to be used as therapy gardens. And today we were back to ‘turn’ around the plot.
Lost the plot
If there was one good thing of 2020 it was meeting Seb.
She is phenomenal! Each week last spring/summer she would stay on after we’d left and get more ground works done.
We would arrive the following week wondering how so much progress had been made in one week. Maybe it was the fairies? Nope, must have been the pixies of course! .... then we realized that there was gnome one like Seb and that it must have been her hard work.
The plot thickens
So here we are, after finishing off our last task in November 2020 with more digging to do.
The plot was dry with moist bottom! All we had to do was turn over the top soil to unleash the wetter soil beneath.
Sounds easy, and for some, like Joe it was. For others like me, Sandy and Nisha it was a bit thick (the ground not us)! We picked the short straw and ended up with the corner that was more debris than soil!
Means allot
This task is such a joy to be at. Not only for the company but for the sense of achievement we get each time we do this session! We are back next week to do more damage (to the ground!)
