Wherein we heroically commute, by our own add-mission
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.
- Wednesday, 30th of May 2018
David and James started the day right by helping move some furniture for Mrs E on their way to work.

The exhilaration of speed. The invigorating elements. Dodging and weaving through traffic both pedestrian and combustion. Topped off by the heroic slow motion walk through the office in exercise gear. Can anything beat running or cycling to work?
Yes, one thing can. Fitting in a GoodGym mission on the way.
In a feat of everyday extraordinary multitasking, the multitalented duo of David and James added depth to their respective cycle and run commutes by layering in a visit to Mrs E on official GoodGym mission duty.
We needed to move a double bed, a reclining armchair and a desk outside to make way for an incoming hospital bed and riser recliner chair. A simple task in conception, but not one Mrs E could handle on her own – some of this stuff was heavy and tricky to manoeuvre through narrow doorways. Also it turned out there were two gates to access the property and we managed to each turn up at a different one. This was going to require all our combined skills and talents.
Luckily, once we’d overcome the drama and suspense of gate-gate we were able to make quick work of the furniture. Soon we had everything nicely stacked up outside - with any luck it will soon be collected by the council.
Job done, we headed to work. In slow motion. Heroically.
