There was no shepherding tonight, but there was some shearing, as we shot off to Albion Millennium Green in Forest Hill.
Their friends group was keen for a hand making the paths clear of weeds and overgrown vegetation. Luckily there was plenty for us to get stuck into.
Hemlock, Sock & Barrow
After a couple of km we arrived to meet Jorella from the friends of Albion Millennium Green. We set off into the dark in search of the container of equipment. Armed with shears, secateurs, litter pickers and a wheelbarrow we set off across the park. By the railway there was a little more light so we could spot our new arch nemesis; HEMLOCK.
Once we'd figured out what it looked like we smartly avoided it (mostly...) and got to work trimming and chopping and picking and loading up the barrow.
I found a sock, we found plenty of bottles, and we all got thorned plenty of times. It's all for the greater good though and karma will thank us later.
The path looked much clearer afterwards. We dropped the tools off and headed back to base (with some wall-sits, core work and sprints en route!).
Awesome job everyone 🔥🤘⚡️☠️👏
