For our anywhere anytime litter picking session, we took to the streets and parks of Hounslow and filled several bags with litter.

For one half of the north east contingent it was a rubbish day on the grass. For the other it was another win in the bag and time to get wasted. We won’t mention the scoreline…

But who cares about Cups when there’s plenty of cans and bottles up for grabs.

Turning Turnham Clean(er)

"After learning from Alan this community mission is done time flexible over the weekend I got started on Heathfields Gardens of Turnham Green. This area I hold dear for our regular post group run fitness sessions and for my going-for-a-walk route.

At first glance the park looked pretty clean but roaming around for about half an hour filled my litter bag with many small bits and pieces.

A local resident who was on his way to catch his bus went past and asked if I am litter pickicking, voluntarily - which I both affirmed. He advised me to contact a local councillor who may be able to give bags and litter pickers.

I enjoyed my first single handed litter pick being able to contribute to the local community while catching bits of sunshine"

We may be feeling trashed after a pun session but the streets of Hounslow are all the better for it.
