Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kingston upon Thames runner
We arrived for what we’d expected to be a fairly straightforward task of moving furniture from one room to another to allow space for Ms C’s husband’s hospital bed to be delivered so that he can be discharged from hospital.
Our first stumbling block was that the intercom was broken but there was a very helpful neighbour in the garden. Time for phone (well, intercom) call #1: the neighbour hadn't taken his keys out with him so suggested we call his flat using the intercom to ask his wife to let us in. With the help of his young son, the call was made and access granted.
Once at Ms C's flat, we got stuck in with moving remnants of furniture to the communal hallway and a chest of drawers from one room to another. We weren't entirely certain about what needed to go where but did our best to make a space for a hospital bed with room for carers to get to the bed.

Thanks for writing the report Samia! That was a nice brief summary of a highly eventful and unusual mission!
