And we're back!
Great to be out in the summer sun doing good again. Ashley, Nick and Huw enjoyed the shade of the Great Central Way for a pre-mission 5k warm up before being joined by Ross, Stu and and Steve who was with us for his first good deed becoming the second member of his family to get involved with GG as his daughter already runs with us down in London. Well done Steve!
The litter on Bede Park was a sight for sore eyes and we made a great impact clearing it all in 45 minutes. Right on cue one of the city council wardens arrived to see our work and was most impressed and wants to give us some more volunteering work to do which is great news.
Also thanks to be given to the NHS staff who were setting up a mobile test site on the park and offered us water to cool us down!
Amazing to be back, a couple more litter pick tasks in the pipeline over the next week
