Wilder than the honeysuckle.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 26th of January 2019
We’re all busy trying to make the mileage and good deeds count for the January challenge and this morning was no exception. After volunteering at the good gym takeover at South Norwood country Parkrun, I met up with Olivia to tackle my second mission of the day. I should now say I was very happy to accompany Olivia on her very first mission which later turned out to be double mission day for her. (Well done Liv).
Once we were all introduced Ms H took us through to the garden and showed us exactly what she wanted us to do. The ever growing, wild, wall climbing honeysuckle was not only covering the light in the garden but growing so wildly in front of the window really obscuring her view.
It was time to get up the ladder and start cutting. Within no time at all the light could be seen clearly, and the window was in sight again.
During the time we were there Olivia and Ms H compared stories about the same places they had both lived in and traveled to. It was lovely to hear them speak about the amazon and the various ways of combating altitude sickness.
After a quick cup of tea and a goodbye it was time to head out and off to a community mission.

What an incredible start to mission running, accompanied by a pro! 😍
Well done both, those various ways of combating altitude sickness must have come in handy on the stepladder!
