Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Gosia Rybacka
Today GG spread its magic 🌠 in Lambeth, helping alleviate Ms E's worry about her back garden becoming overrun with weeds and making the space ready for the chilly season 🌶❄☃️. Beware, winter is coming! The weather actually turned out to be very sunny ☀️, making this morning task in the garden a pure pleasure 💎.
The space was already quite neat, though we could notice weedy intruders sticking out of the ground and from between the pavement tiles. This was the first challenge we took on with a bit of help with our gracious friend trowler. Surprisingly, the roots were very compliant 🤝 with our intentions (as we well know it's not always the case 🤭!).
Then, we grabbed a secateurs and cut down Ms E neighbours' vine that started to conquer the fence without her formal permission 🍃. As Ms E provided us with an appropriate equipment, we were able to deal with this task like professionals 😎.
Our hard work must have been noticed by a beautiful red haired cat 🐱, who honoured us with a short visit, looking quite interested in what we are doing (or maybe just supervising a quality of work 👀).
Last part of our tidy up was to give the pavement and surroundings a proper sweep, using this occasion to collect any remaining plants, moss and fallen leaves 🍂.
Mrs E was really glad and thankful for our help, for re-building our energy she offered a bottle of lucosade and - most importantly - a nice wide smile 😊, the best medicine for this coldest of seasons.
