This evening two runners went to help Mrs T prepare the garden so that she can lay a patio.

It was only last week that Beth and I were saying that we wished we could have finished the job for Mrs T - little did I know that's exactly what I had signed up to do!

This time Alyx and I visited Mrs T to conquer the second half of the garden and tackle those pesky roots. We started by using the lesser known horticultural technique of 'grabbing'. No need for fancy gardening tools, just grab a handful of grass or weeds and pull (and hope you don't put your back out - don't worry GoodGym HQ - health and safety protocols followed meticulously, of course).

After we had cleared most of the greenery, we turned the soil to try and break up some of the more stubborn roots. And boy were there a lot of them! They had a knack of growing horizontally and had all become intertwined, making this quite the challenge! I'm not sure the resident worms enjoyed this as much as we did - hopefully we didn't disturb them too much!

Mrs T seemed happy with our work and the garden is now ready for the patio. Mission accomplished!

P.S. Alyx came up with a great second half to our pun but it's wormed it's way out of my memory...sorry Alyx!
