Yes sir, yes sir, four bags full!
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Monday, 13th of August 2018
Oisin, Patrick and James met up on a Monday night to clear Mrs M's patio of weeds, so she could enjoy her garden space with more freedom.
It was a beautiful evening for weeding - if such a thing exists! We got right to work with the help of Oisin's gloves and tools, Patrick's playlist of tunes and James' sudden deliciousness to all bugs in the area. Hmm. Maybe one of those things would not prove as helpful as the others.
Over the course of an hour we made a big difference, clearing all the weeds from the paved area and cutting back the branches of the fig tree. All in all we filled four big bags with garden waste which we then deposited in a big bin on our way out of the property.
Mrs M was very pleased and if we didn't have to shoot off home, or back to meet the Islington Group runners at the end of their task, we would definitely have taken up her offer of a cup of tea.
