Mr A has used lockdown to embark on a bit of decluttering (Marie Kondo would be proud...), as his request was for some volunteers to take some bags of books to his local charity shop.

A first mission to do this had already taken place with Jen and Leo, albeit they unfortunately found the shops shut on that Sunday, so Khara and I came well prepared for mission two, with both of us having large bags ready for whatever Mr A had in store for us and pre-checked the opening times of the nearest charity shops.

Mr A welcomed us in and showed us the bags he wanted us to take - this time it was only four medium sized bags, containing books, some glassware and some clothing. He mentioned he'd be doing some more clearing out and we said further volunteers would be happy to help him as required.

Our nearest charity shop was the Oxfam on Kingsland Road (where Khara had helpfully spoken with them to confirm they were taking donations), and 15 minutes later we were standing in the queue outside ready to donate Mr A's possessions from this trip. The shop staff were grateful, as had Mr A been earlier for our efforts, and it was great for Khara and I (as two current GG ops/deskwork volunteers) to finally meet in person rather than via the wonders of Slack. So overall this one turned out to be a story with a happy ending.

Great mission both! Well done for your research prep - sounds like Mr A was very grateful for the help.
