Can we dig it? Yes we can-can!

Everything good happens in pairs.

First, the numbers. 2 and 2 makes 22 fantastic people at Good Gym Bristol this week.

Then the run. The second time we'd run to help Incredible Edible turn an unloved bit of land into a community garden. Lastly, what we got up to in a car park in central Bristol after our spate of doing good... but more on that later.

Sadly, it was not totally plain sailing. With so many willing hands, hoped to demolish the scrubby bushes and rootle up the rubbish roots, but due to some weather issues (note that it's not allowed to rain at Good Gym so the weather gods got it out of the way in a rather drastic fashion) our contact at Incredible Edible was not there to meet up. Were we disheartened? NEVER!

We dished out some gloves and trowels, someone produced a pair of secateurs, and we set to the task with the enthusiasm and gusto we know and love at Good Gym. Without heavier tools, we were a bit limited as to what we could do, so a little sooner than planned, we tidied up and ran off.

Now Bristol has some lovely open spaces which are simply fantastic for core training, speed drills, or a mini circuits session. Sadly, however, they are all rather dark and wet at this time of year. We found some open, lit and flat space in a car park and did some pair training. An agility game, partner squats and tricep dips all featured on the fitness menu, but the crowning glory was an impromptu can-can! Firmly in the 'you had to be there to get it', nevertheless it was a sight to behold (although I'm sure it confused some of the car drivers using the car park!). Gang, this is one run I'll never forget - thanks for coming and see you again soon!
