This morning I met up with the King, Olivia (also now known as Olivia the Hun-dred), to move some furniture for Mrs W. If it isn't clear already, this mission marks Olivia's 100th good deed for GoodGym! Woot! 🎉🥳🎉(Number 101 will be a group run tonight, so she's really sprinting past this milestone - no laurel-resting for her! 🏃)

Mrs W is currently in hospital, and so we were met outside her house by her occupational therapist, who explained exactly what was to be done. Our mission for the day was to move some furniture from Mrs W's living room to her dining room in order to enable a hospital bed and a motorized recliner chair to be installed in the living room. This will allow her to be released from hospital to recover at home. The hospital bed was scheduled to be delivered 30 minutes after our start time, so we were keen to crack on with the job!

After assessing what needed to be moved (a sofa, a manual recliner chair and a couple of small tables) and to where, Olivia got the ball rolling by suggesting that we rearrange the dining room to maximise the space for receiving the sofa. Thankfully the dining room was double-doored, so we knew that everything would move like a dream from the hallway and that we only had to worry about the living room doorway.

And so to the traditional "how can we get this sofa out?!" negotiations with the living room doorway. We managed to perform this with aplomb as soon as we realised that opening a hallway closet opposite the doorway would give us those vital extra few inches GoodGymmers dream of.

After that, everything else seemed light and breezy to carry through and, within a short time, we were done!

Not content to do the bare minimum, Olivia suggested hoovering up the living room to get rid of some of the dust and grime left behind from the furniture move. Thought being action, and the hallway closet proving useful once again by offering up a vacuum for this task, she leapt straight into job and was finished in just a couple of minutes (and more than 10 minutes before the hospital bed was due to arrive!)

Making our goodbyes, we celebrated Olivia's 100th (💯) with some cracker pulling (making Olivia the King 👸 for the day) and some vegan sweets. Congratulations again, Olivia! Hope you enjoy the rest of the celebrations tonight! 🥳
