You Phil(adelphus) up my senses!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the Maidenhead Community Allotment in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Gillian and Sheila went to help at the community allotment. First job was to do the watering, using up the water in the butts by the shed, which need to be emptied so they can be raised up. Then Gillian took on the sewing challenge, patching up the netting around the peas, and then moving on to the bed containing the beetroot, or are they chard? Sheila sprayed the beans with dilute detergent to attempt to control the blackfly, and then staked the taller plants. We then did some weeding, particularly around the raspberries. All accompanied by the beautiful scent from the philadelphus hedge which is currently in full flower. A productive session!
