Our friends at Age UK Hammersmith and Fulham invited GG H&F as guests to their annual Summer Party, as a thank you for the good deeds we've completed at their activity centre in Fulham. However, in true GG style, we donned our red t-shirts and helped out across the evening.

The party is held annually for the older people who regularly visit the activity centre, and for the volunteers who work locally with Age UK to deliver their services.

Alongside volunteers from Waitrose, we had great fun serving the hot buffet and then scooping ice cream into about 90 cornets for dessert. There was plenty of food and drink for us too.

Across the evening we got to chat with some of the older people. They clearly value what Age UK H&F has to offer, so we felt honoured to be making a small contribution.

After the food was cleared away, we tackled a pile of washing- and drying-up, before hitting the dance floor for a little bop.
