A final visit to Cwtch Together before they stop for a while, as the children are back in school in two weeks time. So a final tidy up of the outside space and some help to tidy up the hall after the play.
It certainly had been used today and needed a few extra hand to help out, luckily that's where we come in (quite literally with some members and the ball pit)
Aidan had got to work with the mower and strimmer, making the space all lovely and fresh. Whilst Lydia, Darren and Andrew made light work of the stinging weeds.
Michelle, Adam, Llion and Estelle took to the play area like the BIG children that they are - all fun of fun and frolics.
The time flew by as we all had (maybe) too much fun, but it looked spick and span and energised us ready for our run back. A lovely Tuesday to have one last session outside with our lovely Cwtch group, I'm sure we will find a reason to come back and help again before the year is out.
Join us next week as we make a visit for the second time to St. Dyfrig and St Samson Church in Grangetown

Aidan H earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Aidan completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Aidan was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

After two goodgym social runs a group of eight met in the local park to do some good and help keep one of our regular walking, running, and cycling areas clean and tidy. Welcome to Aidan who joined for the social run and then stayed on for the litter pick.
It was a beautiful walk through the trails of the woodland and wild garlic was the usual abundant spring plant that we've come to love in the parks.
Not as much litter on the path as in our past missions, and the river Taff was high after all the rainfall on Saturday. But we still found the usual items along the bank, we kept the polystyrene and plastic away from our waterways as much as we could.
A nice clean river for the new little ducklings to explore.
Plenty of chatting and lots of walking and three bags of rubbish later, it was time to head off back to rest of our Sunday plans.
