It was great to welcome back a few old faces back to GG Brum tonight and Mark came along for the first time.
Unfortunately our task was cancelled, however no problem Liam took us on a brand new running route! It was about 5k, taking us back to St Paul's Square were the group took part in a fitness session. The sess included, press ups, squat jumps, high knees and reverse dips, everyone working well. Mark showing some great newbie form and George and Morwenna pushed each other along.
Once done we headed back to 1000 Trades, so despite no task, we ran about 5.4k and did a circuit for good measure! Great work everyone!

Tonight we were back at Oasis Foundry School, finishing what we started two weeks ago, which was painting the pantry.
We set off to the school, with George doing the back marker job and Liam leading the way on his first GG run since his Virtual London Marathon exploits!
On arrival at the school the task was to give the pantry another coat of white paint. George and Liam got on the step ladders, with the rest of the group on their two feet painting the walls.
Once done we had a quick picture before heading back to 1000 Trades.

Tonight our task with the Jewellery Quarter trust had unfortunately been cancelled, due to Covid isolation, but don't worry it has been organised in a few weeks!
We had Mel join us for the first time tonight, it's great to have you on board.
With no task, thats no problem, we headed to our adopted part of the canal to blast a specific troublesome spot we had noticed last week. We were joined by walkers Nadia and Danny and Matt nipped back to his flat to grab some bin bags.
Before all that though, the group did some press ups and wall squats!
We got 4 full bags of rubbish from our litter blast, so we walked up to Aston Lock to drop them off for our friends at the Canal and River Trust before running back.
Once we got to St Paul's Square we hit a good, hard interval session, including four tough reps. Everyone working hard, just check out the pics of the sprint finish on the last rep!
Once done, thankfully the group just had a few minutes of running to do to get back to 1000 Trades!
