9 sweaty GoodGymers ran 7k to One Big Family homeless charity to prepare to food offering for the weekly soup kitchen.
We were scared as we all met at the New Balance store worried that the dark clouds would deliver the seemingly impending monsoon??!!?? But to GoodGym positive vibes won out and we were treated to a positively beautiful sunny summer evening! Trying out a new route with variable success as we pushed it up through Mayfair and past Liz's house we swiftly knocked out 3.5k in no time (apart from crossing roads).
Meeting Mike it was all change on the Ebury estate as we had moved from the hut to the youth club where we had loads of space to get cracking! Launching into our patented sandwich production line we hate Cheese mountains being grated, bread butting and sandwich filling in slick unison! While pastries were being bagged and the worst job of all amazing cake being sliced and diced up!
Amazing self control on show by everyone! It was not easy!!
35 minutes and the feasted had been founded, all ready to be distributed to Westminsters homeless community this evening.
With cake and cheese on the brain we headed off picking up the pace back to base. Hectic accelerations on show as we came up to St James's Park and up the mean Green Park drag!
A little recovery jog from there and a revitalising static stretch out before we head off to indulge the evenings well earned cravings!
Lovely to have you along for our Wednesday dose of running run, hope to see you all again next week.

18 GoodGymers ran 6.5k to One Big family Homeless Charity in Victoria and prepared a feast to be distributed to Westminsters homeless community.
A glorious early evening in town taking a sightseeing tour through the Royal Palaces where there must have been a major party happening tonight with the around security on show.
3k of swift running and speedy road crossing with 2 groups dodging through the rush hour foot traffic.
Meeting Mike at the Ebury Estate hut and getting washed up and gloves up before we got into our slick Sandwich production line, Cake cutting ninja pose and water filling trolleyed up.
6 loaves of bread buttered up the passed along to the jammers or ham and cheesers. A slick production line in place helped us make 100 sandwiches in 30 minutes!
The cake Ninjas had a tough job, firstly getting into the thick chocolate covered cake then not eating the cake which smelt so good!! Cutting up and bagging 6 huge chocolate cakes in double quick time was no mean feat!
The water fetchers filled 50 gallons on water into various containers ready to take out while a quick finish allowed us to raid the clothing donation store to take out new socks tonight on the food run.
After a quick photo shoot and we were off back to New Balance! 3k running at a good pace but with a few traffic light stops including a burst of pace up the Green Park Drag. A strong finish to the run from everyone!
Great to have you all along and hope to see you again next week when we visit ** Rhythams of Life Homeless Charity** where we will hopefully be distributing food donations around Central London.
Have a great week!

8 Westminster GoodGymers ran 4.5k to the Oasis community garden to water the vegetable garden.
Heading out on the busy Central London streets we danced our way along a twisty turny back street route to the Oasis community garden nestled away in the back of the Oasis leisure centre.
Meeting up with Susannah we got to work with watering cans and buckets filling them, ferrying them across to the garden via a set of stairs or two before carefully watering the the plants to get the drying out flower beds in the best condition to grow some quality vegetables!
25 minutes of watering action went by in a flash and after we were given a few branches of Mint from the garden to nibble on we were on our way to a great new running raceway! Where we dominated three 400m laps of lamppost Fartlek action followed by 2 laps of all out effort on Race you Back high fiving relay. Some super speed was on display and great to see such great effort from all you Superstars!!
A 10 minute easy paced run back to New Balance rounded off a productive and fun group run!!
Hope to see you all next week as we head out to One Big Family Homeless Charity to help them prepare for the evenings Soup kitchen.

18 dodging GoodGymers ran the busiest 4k ever to Rhythams of Life Homeless Charity and sorted 2 tones of donations.
We welcomed many new faces this evening some GoodGym first timers and others Uber GoodGym travellers!
No easy way to start the run as we had the busiest run in GoodGym history between Oxford Street and Leicester Square. 1.5k of being super alert and dancing around a million people doing their Spring early evening thing!
A few back streets and quieter ally ways while managing to keep a steady rhythm we reached The colossal building that is Rhythams of Life Homeless Charity. We all the staff and charity volunteers out delivering food donations to the homeless of Westminster we had the building to sort out.
We split into groups sorting out huge bags of clothing donations into labelled and ordered piles in the main room up stairs which looks almost unrecognisable from when we started the task last week.
A second group began sorting the catering, electricals and a anything else in the back room while the basement crew got stuck into some serious graft down stairs ordering, sorting the Winter clothing while sorting books, electronics, manakin legs with pained toenails.
With the main room sorting at a great pace we brought anything that was not going to be used down to the basement to make the room as easy to use as possible.
After 50 minutes of serious sorting action we have conquered the double task!! As a reward when we return in May we will sorting out food packages and running them around the borough to help feed the local homeless community.
Bouncing out the door, we altered our route and took in a few sights running through The edge of Leicester Square, the heart of Trafalgar Square, past St James's Palace then powering up the hill to the Ritz hotel. After checking out a few shops on Old Bond Street we had genital run back to base where we stretched out and congratulated ourselves on a top evening of GoodGym action!!
Be great to have you along next week when we visit One Big Family Homeless Charity in Victoria.
A sad goodbye to Annie who is off on her travels and leaving the big smoke. Thank you so much for your energy and enthusiasm at GoodGym!
