We met up for a beautiful evening walk last night and it was so brilliant to see real people in a group in real life after way too long.
As well as being our first fitness session since the last lockdown, it was our donation session and generous GG members brought along a stack of Easter eggs which we are donating to East End Women. These eggs will go to families who might not otherwise receive an egg.
It was brilliant to welcome two new GoodGymers: Olivia and Manevasoa as well as Katy's baby bump!
During our 3k walk we caught up on everyone's news and discussed the new changes that are coming to GoodGym Newcastle in the coming months. There is an air of optimism and it feels great. Hope to see you soon!

Liz Russell earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Liz completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Liz was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

We had a really lovely evening on the Quayside, picking up lots of litter. It didn't rain as forecast which was great!
It was brilliant to be joined by Carol Anne, Liz (first ever GoodGym good deed!!) , Eleanor and Louise.
We managed to pick up 5 bags full of litter. We had a great meander along Skinnerburn Road (where we found lots of bottles, cans and McDonalds packaging) and then headed back along the Cycle path.
This evening was really enjoyable, lots of laughing, chatting and switching off from everything else.
Highlights of what we found tonight included a random plastic pink pig (see the photo) and an empty Gin bottle.
(Go and give Liz a cheer/welcome!)
