Westminster Report written by Joel Wiles
16 Soggy GoodGymers ran 7k to help One Big Family Homeless Charity by making their food for the evenings soup kitchen.
So obviously the place to be this evening was GG Westminster!! Wet, Wind and Wonderful!!
After a quick introduction we headed South being lead by Rhys taking us on an intricate route through Mayfair before opening out and we virtually flying down to the Ebury Estate!!
With us all nice and warm we were ready to go and dominate our food production line. Splitting into 3 crack groups we got to work!
First we had the pastry patrol who bagged a wide variety of yummy pastries ready to be handed out! 300 pastries bagged and ready to be munched in 20 quick minutes.
Then we had the sandwich makers, first Team Cheese who had the added delight of some sliced tomatoes to add to the mix. Then we had Team Ham who were Laizet accurate dividing up the slices. Some expert buttering and bagging had 120 sandwiches made in no time. Milly kept us all in check for the evening, cracking the whip to make us work ultra efficiently.
With our duties done we cleaned up and left the boxes ready for the skeleton number of volunteers to give out the food for the evening. Our efforts made such a difference tonight to the charity and the homeless population of Westminster, great Job Everyone!!
A speedy puddle dodging run back with full gas up the Green Park drag rounded off a top GoodGym evening!!
Thanks so much for coming along! Hope you are able to make it along next week to our great Cereal Bar give away.
Have a great week
Smooth Running
