Ten terrific goodgym members came together to help harvest fruit trees in Finchley. The majority of us gathered at the Phoenix Cinema to warm up and run the short distance to a house that needed it’s Apple tree picked. welcome to Mar and Jack on there first Goodgym Run! ( click on the link and give them a cheer) en route we chatted and stopped to do some exercises before reaching the house. There we met Daniela with all the equipment to harvest the cooking apples. The best technique involved us holding a sheet below the tree and shaking the branches to remove the apples. It was quite a haul of gorgeous apples most to which will be sent to the food bank. Some did manage to find their way into an apple crumble cooked by Moya that evening! yum!
thanks for coming running and doing good in our community. hope you had fun as well!

Two Good Gym members came together to help Stephen‘s house and Gardens with their Christmas lights event. The dusting of rain didnt keep friends and families away from the illuminated gardens. Kids mesmerised by the inflatable polar bears and xmas creatures adorning the gardens. Rachel and I helped stewarding offering directions/info, taking photo's...with a jolly hot chocolate from the cafe to keep us warm. Much fun was had by all.

Five GoodGym members came together for a circular walk to the greenbelt and Darlands nature reserve. We gathered at Stephens house and gardens and introduced ourselves. welcome to Gemma on her first outing with GoodGym. We stopped at various points on the walk north visiting sites where GoodGym had helped with community activities. This included Stephens house and gardens, Finchley way open space, and St Mary‘s church. We stopped halfway for teas, coffees and a little bit of Gemma‘s cake. ( thank you) After walking through a couple of fields we eventually arrived at Darlands nature reserve and it’s lake. We stopped for frequent photos, tree hugging and a little bit of yoga before heading back to Finchley. Thanks for coming along. I hope you enjoyed stretching your legs and having a chat.
don’t forget to click on the links and support each other for future activities.
