It was a glorious sunny morning, and just the kind of weather to get a good group of us out in People's Park for the monthly litter pick. It was great to see Yasin and Derrick, who we haven't seen for a while. MArtin managed to get in a few extra steps on the walking machine in the play park.
Between us we managed to find all the ingredients from a recent romantic evening at the park, a few spent prophylactics, a half a bottle of whisky, assorted beer cans and wine bottles and even a pair of M&S finest lacy briefs with a delightful lipstick pattern on them!
At the end of the session Rachel treated us to an Easter Egg Hunt, although we were slightly disappointed that she hadn't got dressed up as the Easter Bunny!

The GoodGymers were once again back helping Browns Books with set up before their opening. Today the team were tasked with alphabetising (if thatโs even a word) all the shelved books. There were some interesting titles amongst them and we occasionally found ourselves reminiscing and laughing over some of the old school books and annuals in the collection.

Eight goodgymers supported over 340 parkrunners on perhaps the most glorious Saturday morning of the year so far.
Set-up, marshalling, timekeeping, barcode scanning and close-down roles were filled by Goodgym Luton. No hopping around to keep warm, sunglasses needed, lovely!
Springโs a coming!

Luton Goodgymers were out today supporting the Shri Guru Ravidass Sangat Gudwara with the smooth running of the anniversary celebrations of the birth of the temples ๐ guru and the presentation of the the Kings award for voluntary services. 5 of the Luton team took part in a procession with drummers, carrying a large banner and other decorative effects. Part of the celebration involves replacing the flag outside the Gudwara, this is called the Nishan Sahib and when the new flag was raised our team were in charge of letting off confetti cannons. The temple presented Goodgym Luton with a certificate of recognition for the ongoing support we have given to the temple which has helped them in their bid to be awarded the King's award for voluntary services. This was a great session to be a part of. Well done today team ๐
