5 top Goodgym runners joined Area Activator Simon for our 2nd official trip to the Stratford Olympic Park with all abilities running club Achilles International. Together, we had an abundance of visually impaired runners, bag drop supporters and guide runners meeting at the Westfield exit of Stratford Station, before battling some strong winds towards the West Ham stadium (our bag drop location).
It was awesome to catch up with our running friends- Andrew and Tim are currently in the depths of training for London Marathon. Chris Blackabee, Severine and daughter Siri also joined us after travelling from Belgium last week. Chris was featured on a smashing interview on the BBC about the Achilles International collaboration with London Landmarks Half Marathon next week.

great to help out in the amazing Wild flower gardens of Clissold Park!!
Getting into mature side of the garden on this visit to be expertly delicate and remove only the over eager weeds from the flower beds while allowing the wild flowers to grow big, strong and in bright colors!
filling our buckets full of the pesky bind weed in particular we made great progress and allowed for another month of epic growing to happen!!

7 GoodGymers ran to Springfield park to clear 2 tonnes of excess gravel from the pathways.
A very Chilly one in Hackney!! Negotiating the ice puddles on our run up from London Fields to Springfield Park.
Grabbing the wheelbarrows, shovels and brooms we made our way to the sloped crazily over graveled path leading to the far entrance to the building.
Getting to work via spot light we worked fast and amazingly thoroughly to take the path perfectly back to the bonding surface so it's safe and usable for all the park users especially those with physical disabilities as they enter or exit.
35 minutes and the job was done!
Heading off into the night to warm up after a impactfull and energetic GG evening!!
Look forward to seeing you again very soon!
