Our Wednesday evening crew took on the Greener & Cleaner allotment, meeting the brilliant Efi to hydrate some thirsty plants, layer cardboard into the compost, and even learn how to make some nice natural (stinky) fertiliser out of nettles!
We were also lucky enough to go home with some giant rhubarb stalks, sage, mint and sunflower seeds - thanks so much! (I can confirm that these have all been put to good use, not just transformed into daggers for a quick duelโฆ)

It was great learning some new skills and how to make compost with lower co2 emissions in this hidden garden ๐Here's my sage recipe (rhubarb cake one is coming).. season some pork medallions with salt, black pepper, garlic granules, all purpose seasoning and washed&chopped sage, add some honey and a dark rum shoot on a pan, let it cook and boom ๐ฅ thanks Greener& Cleaner ๐๐ป see you at this inspirational community next๐๐ณ

It was nice to meet Sara and shift 4 heavy wooden sleepers for Bromley Mencap this evening.
We're building some new planters with them in a few weeks time which will house some new plants outside their community hub in Norman Park! ๐ท
A great workout for a great organisation! ๐ช

Louise, Andrew, Sara and Hannah joined the friends of the Palace Park for another volunteering session! Things got off to a ceremonial start with Bromleyโs mayor coming by to cut the ribbon for the official entrance to the park; he then joined a guided walk around six of the Bromley parks with several other interested parties. Meanwhile, we headed over to the other side of the lake to get back to clearing away ivy, brambles and laurel (and rubbish) to make space for more plant diversity. Andrew managed to tackle a huge overgrown holly too. Great work!
