11 Goodgymers strutted there stuff to Carriers of Hope last night, with a mixture of walkers, making their own way there and runners joining the group run.
A big welcome to new recruits; Va, Chris,Michelle Victoryand Bose! Kudos on popping your GoodGym cherry and rocking those snazzy new red t-shirts Bose and Michelle!
The group runners clocked a solid 9km during their jaunt, Chris and Vani you did amazing and thanks to Laura for back marking.
7 of the gang rolled up to Carriers of Hope by 6.15pm, while the rest of us sweat it out on the run. The runners eventually arrived at 7pm, just as the early birds were knee deep in a marathon of checking expiry dates and organising dried food donations into crates including tins, cans, sauces, pasta, you name it.
After a lightning fast 20 minutes the runners went full speed ahead back to CRCB. Meanwhile the rest of the crew kept the food sorting momentum going strong, well done team! Great to see you all, thank you for your hard work.
Next week is a new task at Earlsdon Primary School allotments so hope to see some of you there!

11 GoodGymers returned to Harmony Hub on this sunny Tuesday eve. We were to meet James and Jackie there while Nigel, looking cool on his bike, cycled over with the rest of us put our running shoes to work. Huge cheers to Stuart for his first run with us and yippee to Jill wearing her new GoodGym Tee with pride this eve.
We picked up where we left off last week, tossing all the junk in the skip. Everyone dove right in and the skip was overflowing in no time, a couple of us rescued a few treasures to take home too :)
Graeme and Nigel were busy potting up some faux trees for the entrance, bringing some fake freshness to the place. We had a giggle with the jet wash when it started off as a sad little trickle but together we got it working. Maddie and Jackie took on the mission of washing the grime off the path and patio making it a lot cleaner and brighter by the finish. A few of the team worked on cleaning up the pram store and collecting items to be thrown from the adjoining nursery car park.
More litter picking was also needed this week, filling a few more bags. Sadly, keeping this place clean is a full time gig!
All in all, lots more great work done here tonight. Thank you everyone!
There is more to be done so make sure you get signed up to our next visit on the 14th May.

Tonight was amazing with 14 GoodGymers turning up, we love it at the Food Union allotments don't we gang?! We also welcomed back Jill for her second good deed, yey!
Jackie, James, Nigel and Stuart had arranged to meet us at the allotments, Megan and Tasha took a nice walk and the rest of the group enjoyed a sunny run to the task. Great to be out enjoying the nice weather and lighter nights!
We hit the allotments, facing 5 unruly beds crying out for attention. In 45 minutes we very nearly aced the job that would have taken them several hours. With weeding and composting we made a huge improvement and Marc was very happy with what we got done. Team GG Cov, smashing it!
Next Tuesday we will be at Harmony Haven which is a family hub in Hillfields https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/harmony-haven-garden-revival

Five Goodgymers walked to Clothing Coventry this evening, but not for the usual sorting and sizing tasks! This week we put on our least favourite running leggings and shoes for a painting task! In preparation for a new member of staff starting soon, our task was to give the office space a fresh lick of white paint. Armed with sandpaper, rollers and brushes, we quickly got to work on painting and had soon given the room a first coat, although it looks like it will need at least one more coat before it is ready to be used as an office again. We will be back soon to finish the job!
