12 of Goodgym Luton's team turned out to support the Shri Guru Ravidass Sangat temple with the 2nd curry cooking sessions of their current Near Neighbours funded project. Helping with prep, cooking and cleaning up the team really helped to make the evening run smoothly. We welcomed Mugahid to his first session and after some brief introductions, he got stuck in and showed he'll be a great member if our Team. Well done all. thanks for a great evening

7 Goodgymers joined abcd-in-luton and the FoLP for the monthly litterpick at Leagrave Park. The team were out enjoying what was a relatively mild autumn 🍂 day as we all did our best to help keep the park clear of rubbish 🗑. After an hour collecting litter, we'd all collected 15 bags in total, a children's bike and several parts to what we think was a quad bike. Great effort by the team and definitely really appreciated by the community. Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍🏻

The London Road Litter Pick Group were delighted that GoodGym were able to help out in the area with some much needed tree trimming. Yazed and Gill tree-aged the task, then joined by Martin they all worked tree-mendously well to clear the tree-cherous branches from the path. They then turned their attention to clearing back overgrown weeds.
Local residents have commented that it is a tree-t to see the road looking so much neater. Well done to our tree-o, tree-ific work! (Sorry about all the tree puns).

This week's group session brought together a team of eight, four runners and four walkers, to take on a task at the Penrose Roots to Recovery garden.
It was just 2km to the task where task owner Peter was waiting for us. The team at the garden had taken a delivery of woodchips which had just been dumped in a big pile and needed tidying up into big sacks, so we all got to work with shovels and started clearing up the mess.
With a great effort from the team we filled up six big ton bags in no time at all and were able to make a start on a second task, clearing a patch of weeds that had grown on the potato patch.
But soon our time was up and we had to head off again, with a few freshly dug potatoes in our pockets as a reward!
